Te Ara a Kupe Beaton Scholarship 2024

Now in our 7th year, we are again honoured to celebrate young Māori & Pasifika high school students who dream of pursuing pathways to top universities around the world and have a spirit to conquer the world stage. Submit your registration today!

Success Story

A heroic congratulations to two of our Te Ara A Kupe Maori scholars, Jared Lasike from Rotorua and M'Lago Morris from Whangerai for some truly mind blowing results!

Jared Lasike has gained admission to Princeton University to study sociology.

M'Lago Morris has gained admission to Duke University to study theatre.

Both of these students have conquered incredible odds. Princeton has an international student acceptance rate of close to 1% and Duke has a rate close to 4%.

Both of these young Kiwi Maori and Pacific scholars competed against some of the world's sharpest young minds to win a place at these vaunted institutions of higher education.

These students join a legacy of our Te Ara a Kupe Scholars thriving from all corners of New Zealand to some of the best universities on the planet.
